# About

EJ-EH Holden Club ACT

We're passionate about celebrating the rich history and heritage of Australia's iconic vehicle brand.

Who we are

OUR HISTORY

Incorporated in 1990, our club was originally created to cater for EJ Holden and EH Holden enthusiasts in the Canberra region.  In recent times we have expanded to include people with other models. The club is open to all owners of all Holden Models from 1948 to 1980 and has members with models from 48/215 (FX) all the way through to VC.

Our club meets at 7:30pm on the 1st Tuesday of each month (excluding January) at the Canberra Deakin Football Club 3 Grose Street Deakin ACT. Visitors are always welcome. Arrive at 6:30pm if you would like to have dinner and meet some members before the meeting.

Regular club runs are arranged by the Events Co-Ordinator. Please check the website main page or Face Book page for more information. These are arranged for financial members of the club.

Members of the Club, between them, have a huge knowledge relating to EJs and EHs, and related general technical matters; and all are more than happy to assist others with this knowledge. Obviously, we also have lots of good contacts.

The Club was founded in 1990 to promote the appreciation by the public-at-large of these two wonderful models: together with the enjoyment of our hobby of owning and caring for the vehicles. However, we have always kept paramount that the Club is essentially a social group, a group of friends. We cater both for those whose primary interest is in unmodified vehicles, and for those whose primary interest is in modified vehicles: all views are respected.

Members do not need to own an EJ or an EH: so long as they like these models and respect them for what they are, they are welcome. We cater for all ages: indeed, we think it is highly desirable that we have an evenly balanced mix of ages, and that is the situation we have at present. Accordingly, we try and have functions that might appeal to the different age groups.

We also cater to both genders, and although the numbers are approximately even. We welcome membership from people in the general region of the ACT, and have cheaper club membership for out-of-towners, recognising that they will probably get less out of membership because of the distance to travel.

The club is officially affiliated with the Council of ACT Motor Clubs enabling members access to the Concessional Registration Scheme (CRS). All club vehicles over 30 years old are eligible for “historic” rego if they adhere to the guidelines.
